If you have found this blog you may be interested in offline consulting as in the past I have heavily focused on it. I still do offline consulting for local clients (all over North America) but some things have changed…
You may or may not know that I have been living in Mexico for the last 6 months, running my business from here.
I have a pretty good system for getting new clients when living abroad and fulfilling upon my commitments to them but as I said some things are changing…
You see my plan has always been to travel while working. Our next stop will likely be Europe or Australia and it just gets tougher to run the business in different time zones.
It’s doable for sure and I encourage anybody with a JOB to pursue this strategy as it is the quickest, surest way to free yourself.
Having said that, in recent months I refocused my efforts to ramp up my traditional affiliate marketing business — both in the Internet Marketing realm and in several other unrelated markets.
Now don’t worry (if you are a current client reading this) – I will absolutely be continuing to run my consulting business and will fulfill my obligations — I will even take on new clients but only ones that come to me.
I do plan on releasing a ‘tell all’ system on exactly how I accomplished running a local consulting business from abroad.
This will be a very affordable all encompassing kit called the Offline Tycoon Bible. Everything will be covered — nothing will be left out. The reason is simple – since I want to travel more without worrying about time zone issues with clients and I am transitioning back to a traditional affiliate, I have no need to keep any ‘secrets’ to myself.
The Offline Tycoon Bible will contain

Pizza?
Imagine you open a restaurant. It is 2 weeks before you are set to open and you are entirely sure of the exact concept yet. You like the idea of making great gourmet pizzas. You know a pizza operator across town and he makes great money doing it, so you decide that’s what you will do too.
After your first week you start to realize that the pizza business is a hard business. You are very busy and working long hours but it is hard to turn a buck. You decide that it is not right for you as you don’t know enough about the pizza business and you convert it over to a hamburger business.
No, burgers!
The hamburger chains are making a killing and their burgers are ‘crap’ so if you make a decent burger you are sure to be a success. Of course, your burger costs much more to make than theirs. You forgot that although the chains make bad burgers, they make good businesses. You also feel that you need to be less expensive than they are to make sure your patrons stay with you. You end up selling a pile of burgers and you sure are busy, but in the end you lose money.
Maybe chicken and ribs?
You are not in business to lose money so you decide to close up shop for the weekend and figure out what is the ‘secret’ you are missing. You decide that what you really need is expert help so you hire a restaurant consultant. He has a client in neighboring town that sells fried chicken and ribs. He makes a killing! The consultant advises you to do the same and sells you a step by step guide to make a killing selling chicken and ribs. Unfortunately, you can’t stand chicken or ribs and have no passion for selling them so you cannot turn a profit in this endeavor either.
Forget the restaurant business…let me sell something!
You decide that the restaurant business is simply not for you but you are interested in exploring Multi Level Marketing…if only you can find the ‘secret’ to success in that industry…
By now I hope that you can see the parallels between this story and average internet marketers. Nobody would consider starting and running a restaurant in this manner; it seems quit silly. So why do people think it’s ok to run their internet marketing business like this? Is it any less of a real business?
If you want to be successful in this business, treat it like the real business that it is. Make a detailed plan, stick to it and don’t let yourself be distracted. Make sure that the strategy you pick is something that excites you so you will not be tempted to move on to the next ‘hot’ opportunity.
Successful people stay the course in spite of obstacles or doubts, you can too!
